日內瓦當地時間9月27日，從正在召開的ISO第41屆全體成員國大會傳來喜訊，由中國船舶重工集團公司第七一四研究所承擔主席和秘書處的ISO船舶與海洋技術委員會（TC8）榮獲2018年度ISO最高榮譽獎項－勞倫斯·艾徹領導獎。這是由我國獨立領導的委員會首次獲得這一ISO最高榮譽獎項，也是2018年度全球范圍內這一獎項的唯一獲得者。
4月28日是一年一度的世界工作安全與健康日。這個國際日旨在提高全球對職業事故和職業病的預防意識，推動國際社會關注這類問題，建立安全與健康的文化，幫助減少與工作相關的死傷。

ISO/IEC17025:2005的修訂自2015年2月正式啟動以來，歷經工作組草案、委員會草案(CD)、國際標準草案(DIS)和最終國際標準版草案(FDIS)，最終版本ISO/IEC17025:2017于2017年11月30日正式發布。
從中國國家標準委獲悉，截至2016年上半年，中國提交并立項的國際化標準組織（ISO）標準提案達340項，其中189項已正式發布為ISO的國際標準。
為深入開展國際標準化教育活動，大力培養我國國際標準化工作人才，2017年10月30日--11月8日，國家標準委與ISO在中國計量大學成功舉辦ISO秘書周培訓班和ISO/TC、SC主席培訓班。
ISO 12707:2016 defines general terms specifically associated with magnetic particle testing.
ISO 9934-3:2015 describes three types of equipment for magnetic particle testing:- portable or transportable equipment;- fixed installations;- specialized testing systems for testing components on a continuous basis, comprising a series of processing stations placed in sequence to form a process line.Equipment for magnetizing, demagnetizing, illumination, measurement, and monitoring are also described.
ISO 9934-1:2015 specifies general principles for the magnetic particle testing of ferromagnetic materials. Magnetic particle testing is primarily applicable to the detection of surface-breaking discontinuities, particularly cracks. It can also detect discontinuities just below the surface but its sensitivity diminishes rapidly with depth.
ISO 15626:2011 specifies acceptance levels for the time-of-flight diffraction technique (TOFD) of full penetration welds in ferritic steels from 6 mm up to 300 mm thickness which correspond to the quality levels of ISO 5817.These acceptance levels are applicable to indications classified in accordance with ISO 10863.
據勞氏LRQA中國消息，ISO 45001最終版可能延遲至2018年3月發布，原本預計于2017年下半年發布的時間將往后延遲。
